Wireless networks are advantageous for hotel staff as well as hotel guests. A Leap Networks installation requires little wiring beyond several Wireless Access Points (WAPs). The installation itself is fairly transparent, and is performed during times that staff and guests are least likely to be affected.

In a traditional Ethernet network, a data drop must be installed in each room, with all the attendant wiring, scheduling, mess and cleanup. We strive to provide a "transparent" installation. Once installed, the network is available for guests to access the Internet or their home corporate networks. Additionally, hotel staff can now utilize wireless equipped PDA's or wireless network based telephones (VOIP/VOWLAN) for property management and maintenance systems.

Since "Common" areas are provided with wireless connectivity as well as sleeping rooms, it is no longer necessary for guests to stay in their room in order to work. Guests surf the Internet in your lounge or restaurant, creating revenues for your hotel rather than sitting in their room tied to a data port.
